There are evidences of this wine in some documents dating back to the XVII century; it was in fact requested by the Popes and the French court, to accompany their menus.
The grapes, exclusively Nebbiolo, come from a single vineyard in the Roncati region, which has clayey soil, well draining and rich in beneficial minerals.
Fruity, savory and pleasant, it prefers red meats, furred game and venison in general.
The wine is aged 24 months in large barrels and 6 months in bottle.
