There are evidences of this wine in some documents dating back to the XVII century; it was in fact requested by the Popes and the French court, to accompany their menus.
Produced using Nebbiolo grapes in purity, coming from a single vineyard in the Livelli region.
Organoleptic characteristics: fine, pleasant and ethereal aroma; subtle, dry, savory, harmonious and austere but velvety flavour, with a pleasantly bitter aftertaste.
The wine is aged for 8 months in tonneaux, 18 months in large barrels and 6 months in bottle.
