A thin rind with a soft, natural pinkish colour, a compact, straw-white paste and a mild, aromatic flavour with a slight acidic streak are the distinguishing features of Taleggio DOP Elit.
An energetic food, rich in protein, mineral salts, vitamins A and B2 and with the right calcium/phosphorus ratio, Taleggio is easily digestible, especially if aged for a long time.
Available in whole wheels of about 2kg, half wheels of about 1kg, or retail trays with 200g or 250g portions.
